Why Golden Fish tarot?
I am Piscean and have chosen the image of the golden fish as my personal symbol, primarily one of luck,
but a reminder to always be grateful for everything that l have.
I love
the Russian fairytale about the golden fish.

Fish live in a world that is not normally visible to us - water holds endless mystery for us.
Water has also been known to be a womb symbol and as such, an emblem of birth, fertility and womanhood.
This association comes from many ancient flood myths, and the “from water springs life” concept.
In world-wide mythology, the fish is revered for it’s sacred significance. In Buddhism, the golden fish
is viewed as one of 8 symbols of auspiciousness – it lives in a state of fearlessness, without danger of
drowning and moving from place to place freely and spontaneously.
In India, a pair of golden fishes have their origins in the two sacred rivers – the Ganges and the Yamuna.
These rivers signify the lunar and solar channels of the human body and carry the alternating rhythms of breath,
or chi, or prana. So the golden fishes bring life and happiness.
In China, a popular Chinese New Year symbol is a child holding a large fish and a lotus flower, symbolising
abundance of gold and harmony. Twin golden carp represents not only wealth, abundance, but love, domestic felicity,
partnership, tenacity, hence fertility, hence renewal is symbolized.
